Seven days a week, three to four buyers a day, sometimes 15 homes in a single day, and he was only keeping about 50% of his commission.
Annually, he was landing somewhere in the $80,000 to $120,000 range, which sounds reasonable until you factor in what it was costing him. He was missing his kids’ games, their school events, the moments that do not come back.
The thing that kept him stuck was not a lack of skill. It was loyalty to the brokerage that brought him into the business and a fear of letting his broker down.
